Description
Lore: Between 1985 and 1986, Hirochi experimented with a comfortable, affordable, and high-quality hatchback, crafted with authentic Japanese design. When the new Hirochi Esee (marketed as the Hirochi Laura in some regions) was launched in 1987, the focus was on a blend of Japanese design, budget-friendly features, and an attractive price point. In 1988, the Esee was advertised for the first time, specifically in the United States and Canada. In 1989, the Esee arrived in Scandinavia, prompting the establishment of Hirochi dealerships in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, as well as in other Nordic nations such as Iceland. Production ceased in 1992 as the company shifted toward other alternatives to better align with the era; however, "stanced" versions of the vehicle continued to be produced from 1993 until 1997, when the practice was banned.
