Description
In 2002, Ibishu decided to refresh its popular Hopper lineup with a refreshed front fascia, new rim options, new safety features like ESC and traction control, and several convenience features such as a multimedia system built in. Along with the new changes came an all new pickup variant called the Skipper, as well as many special editions being made with some harkening back to the Hopper heritage since its inception in 1955.

Alongside the Hopper's refresh, Terra, a subdivision of the Gavril brand, partnered with Ibishu to rebadge the Hopper into the Xplorer, a more rugged and sportier version for the U.S market.
