AW Goal — European budget car from the 1990s.

The AW Goal debuted in 1990 — as dull as an autumn evening, but offered a wide range of trims.
Engine options ranged from a 1.4 SOHC up to a 2.8L VR6, built for performance and speed.
Two diesel engines were also available — 1.6L and 1.9L, including the TDI turbodiesel, extremely durable yet very slow.
Special budget editions were a trend in the ’90s, and the Goal followed suit with trims like Amsterdam, Ecuador, Poland, Romania, and Deutsch, giving it some distinction.
The Goal was sold in 3 body styles: 5-door hatch, 3-door hatch, and a sedan called the “Jento.”
