In 1977, the Chekhov Automobile Plant (ChAZ) acquired a license and tooling from Ibishu to produce an upgraded Miramar in Russia. The modernized Miramar, named ChAZ-2160, began production in 1978 with a 1.2L engine and square headlights. In 1980, it received a facelift as the ChAZ-2160B, with engine options of 1.2L and 1.3L. Production ended in 1999 as the model became increasingly outdated.
