Hirochi / Karin Futo v1.0
-- 11/25/2025 ---
- New -
• Added yellow fog lights.
• Added rally springs and shock absorbers. (Front - raised BX, rear - Moonhawk)
• Added 3 options for rally headlights with the ability to choose the bind: high beam or fog lights.
• Made a modular safety cage from scratch. My personal pride and joy.
- Fix -
• Redesigned the glass a little. Now the correct material is used for the interior glass, and the glass disappears when broken.
• Redesigned the nodeWeight of the front bumper...
- A truly lightweight rear-wheel drive car. Base models weigh just over 1000 kg.
- Pretty good handling.
- 2 front end options: retractable and fixed.
- 2 body options: hatchback and coupe.
- Not many ready-made configurations.
- Already enough customization options.
- My pride and joy is the modular safety frame, where each component adds structure and mass. It's practically not based on slideNodes.
- JBeam was created practically from scratch. It's mostly borrowed from BX, but about 90% has been rewritten and modified. I had to work hard with nodeWeight, so I squeezed every last drop out of this machine...
- The engine is based on Covet's 1.5 DOHC, but made longitudinal, paired with a BX gearbox (gear ratios taken from a real AE86).
- The front suspension is similar to the BX, but the overall geometry is my own, as the mounting points are completely different.
- The rear suspension is a 4-link with a Panar rod (Moonhawk + Miramar + completely custom mounting points). I had to study all the basics of real-life suspension design to get Futo to handle the way it does now. Although it's still far from perfect.
- A couple of unique adjustment sliders, for example, if you install electric fans on the radiator, you can adjust the temperature at which they will turn on.
