Description
The Grand Prix circuit near Austin, Texas, at 1:1, built from survey data: 5.5 km and 20 turns with the climb to Turn 1, the esses, the long back straight and the stadium section, on a 4 × 4 km level.
Features
- The track as surveyed: edges, kerbs, crests and camber fitted to airborne lidar to within a few centimetres; the pit lane and the two short-course connectors.
- A used track: a darker racing line, rubber in the braking zones, older and newer asphalt where it was repaved, tyre marks across the track and over the kerbs and run-offs, faded paint.
- Run-offs: the painted run-off areas with their stripes, stars and the big flag.
- Trackside: a barrier with a catch fence along both sides, gantries, footbridges, the tunnel portals, start / finish and grid markings.
- Buildings: the main grandstand with its canopy, the tower, the pit building, the big stands and the amphitheatre (simplified), ~480 other buildings at their measured heights.
- Landscape: terrain from the lidar, 39 lakes, dry October grass, and ~150,000 trees.
- Gameplay: a time trial with two sectors and a 3-lap AI race from the grid (5 opponents by default, up to 15), six spawn points, camera bookmarks, and an October afternoon sun.
Known limits (alpha)
- Only the Grand Prix layout: no National or short-course layouts, no karting track. No pit-lane speed penalty.
- The state of 2021: the survey data is from 2021. The 2022 and 2024 repaving is in; the gravel and turf added since 2024 are not.
- Simplified trackside: one barrier type all round, no marshal posts or light panels; footbridges without ramps, gantries without panels.
- Simplified buildings: flat roofs, no windows on the minor buildings; the stands are rough; the main stand's covered part is estimated.
- Trees are look-alikes: BeamNG stock oaks, junipers and shrubs stand in for the local species.
- The level edge shows as a blue band from high viewpoints. No minimap yet.
- No traffic; the AI is for the race mission.

Installation Instructions
