Sotenbori, Osaka v1.0
Description
Sotonbori is a central tourist area known for its nightlife and famous river (canal); it is featured in the Yakuza game series and is based on the real-life Dotonbori area in Osaka, Japan. This work is a transfer of the location from the game Yakuza: Like a Dragon to BeamNG.
The map is optimized while maintaining the atmosphere of other ports from the Yakuza series. This project serves as a testing ground for improving porting tools, specifically regarding the correct transfer of multilayer materials (signage, luminous elements).
Features
- Full-fledged night lighting and glowing objects, including all animation of light sources from the original game
- Optimized levels of detail (LOD)
- PBR materials taken from the original sources
- Added game objects (props), particles, and sounds to enhance the map
