Description
An advanced steering and transmission assist script designed specifically for controller (joypad) drifters in BeamNG.drive, heavily inspired by the smooth handling mechanics of Assetto Corsa (A7 Assist).
If you love drifting on a controller but struggle with twitchy counter-steering, erratic transitions, or clunky handbrake initiations, this mod is built for you.

Features
- Dynamic Counter-Steer Assist: Automatically calculates vehicle yaw rate and speed to apply smooth, precise counter-steering when a drift is detected.
- Fade-Out Control: The assistance dynamically blends out the moment you actively push or fight the joystick, ensuring you never lose direct control of your car.
- Handbrake Clutch Override: Instantly forces physical clutch disengagement (clutchRatio = 0) when pulling the handbrake, allowing for clean, high-revving clutch kicks and fluid drift entries.
- In-Game ImGui Settings HUD: Features a floating, crash-free settings window directly in-game. No need to touch text files or restart your game!

In-Game Controls & HUD
Once loaded into a vehicle, a clean settings panel will appear on your screen allowing you to adjust parameters in real time:
- Enable / Disable Toggle: Quickly switch the assistance on or off on the fly.
- Linearity: Adjust joystick center sensitivity (ideal around 2.0).
- Counter-Steer Gain: Control how aggressively the virtual steering reacts to slides.
- Smoothing: Fine-tune wheel rotation speed to completely eliminate jitter and speed wobbles.

Installation Instructions
- Download the a7_steering_assist_v1.0.0.zip file.
- Drop it directly into your BeamNG.drive/mods/ folder.
- Spawn any vehicle and enjoy smooth, controlled controller drifts!
