Description
Key features and functionality of v2.0:
Features
- 1:1 design and geometry of the original: Trapezoidal visor, coolant temperature gauge, tachometer up to 8,000 rpm with an orange-red zone, speedometer up to 200 km/h with a red mark at 60 km/h, and a precise fuel gauge. Everything is strictly factory-spec.
- Two functional VDO LCD displays: The left screen shows the daily mileage in kilometers and the current time. The right screen displays the selected gear ([N], [1–5], [R]), the real-time digital engine temperature, and a 6-digit total odometer.
- Interactive controls: The brightness control (0 – 1 – 2 – 3) allows you to switch between night backlight levels for the display. When the headlights (L) are turned on, the backlight activates automatically. Trip odometer reset button: A single click resets the trip odometer (0.0 km); a double click launches the factory instrument cluster diagnostics.
- Factory self-test upon ignition (Self-Test): When the ignition is turned on, the needles make a smooth sweep to the end of their range and back, and the LCD screens briefly display the factory firmware version r 1.9 and all test segments (888888).
- Realistic buzzer and door sensor: If a door is open or the headlights are on while the engine is off, an authentic two-tone buzzer will sound, and a red “door open” indicator will light up on the instrument panel.
- On-board electrical system voltage drop during engine start: When the engine is started, the numbers and dashboard lighting dim realistically due to the load on the battery.
