Drag Tree and Timer System Overview
This system combines a drag tree light system and a drag timer, offering a complete solution for drag racing functionality. Here's how it works:
Drag Tree Light System
-
Pre-stage Lights: These activate whenever the brake, transbrake, or clutch pedal is pressed.
-
Full Stage:
-
Achieved when any of the above three pedals are held down and the throttle is above 80% for 1.5 seconds.
-
Once fully staged, you are locked in position, and a random timer (1.5–2.5 seconds) will determine when the tree drops.
-
Tree Types
Four tree modes are available, offering versatile lighting sequences:
-
.400 Pro Tree:
-
A .400-second delay between the lighting of all three yellow bulbs and the green bulb.
-
-
.500 Pro Tree:
-
Identical to the .400 tree, but with a .500-second delay instead.
-
-
Sportsman Tree:
-
Lights the yellow bulbs sequentially from top to bottom in 0.5-second intervals, ending with the green light.
-
-
Instant Green:
-
Operates like a Pro Tree, but skips the yellow bulbs entirely—only the green light is displayed.
-
Reaction Time System
-
Triggering: Reaction time is recorded once fully staged and the vehicle exceeds 1 mph.
-
Measurement:
-
A timestamp is taken at the moment the car moves, compared to the scheduled green light activation time.
-
Any negative reaction time results in a red light.
-
Drag Timing System
-
Ready to Record: The timer resets whenever the car is below a set speed threshold.
-
Start Recording: The timer begins as soon as the car exceeds a specific speed threshold.
Additional Notes
-
Independent Timer:
-
The drag timer operates independently from the drag tree. You can start a run anytime, and it will record accurate times without factoring in reaction time.
-
-
Best Times:
-
Your best times are displayed on the right side of the screen and can only be reset by clicking the reset button in the bottom-right corner.
-
Disclaimers
-
The drag timer does not require the tree to drop before recording starts. Reaction time is never added to or subtracted from your pass time.
-
This timer is calibrated to in-game systems like West Coast and Gridmap V2. While the times may appear slightly faster compared to Adam’s timer, this system aims to provide more accurate results for in-game performance.
-
If a car has an excessively shaky jbeam, the timer may not work as intended. This issue stems from the car itself, not the timer.
-
This drag tree does not work in conjunction with any in-game trees and does not pair two clients together. It is designed purely for client-side use.
Known Bugs
-
Occasionally, the red light may trigger unexpectedly when you are moving, displaying excessively high reaction times. Enjoy the chaos!
