Driver assists for BeamNG.drive. Cruise that sets itself to the speed limit, emergency braking, and a speed limit sign on your HUD.
Features
- Set cruise to the limit: One key sets cruise to the road's speed limit, plus an offset you choose.
- Speed limit assist: Cruise keeps matching the limit as it changes. Coming up on a lower zone, it eases off early so you arrive at the new speed.
- Adaptive cruise (ACC): Holds your speed and keeps a gap to the car ahead. Works with speed limit assist too.
- Stop and go: ACC follows traffic down to a stop and holds you there.
- Automatic emergency braking (AEB): A backstop that brakes if you're about to hit the car ahead. Works with or without cruise. Off by default.
- Hill hold: Stopped on a hill with your feet off the pedals, it holds the brake until you give it gas. Only on cars from 2011 and later.
- Speed limit sign: Shows the limit the game itself uses, the same one the AI and the police go by. A smaller sign behind it shows the next limit coming up. The sign is US style, in mph, on US maps.
Installation Instructions
Subscribe on the Repo page, on the site or in the game's Repository. Works in vanilla, no RLS needed. BeamNG 0.39.
Then add the Speed Sign app to your UI. The assists don't work without it.
Keys
Bind them under Options > Controls > Vehicle. Search "cruise" to find them. AEB is listed on its own.
The stock set, resume and plus/minus cruise keys all work with ACC.
Bind Cancel Cruise (basic or adaptive) to your usual cancel key. The stock cancel only turns off basic cruise. Tapping the brake cancels both.
The parking brake always wins. Pull it and every assist lets go.
