Free water in FS25: How to get it without spending money?
Water is essential for the full development of the farm. It is especially important when working with greenhouses and animals. However, the constant purchase of water can be a serious drain on your budget. Fortunately, there are ways to get water for free and without mods, regardless of platform.
The old gray elevator

With the release of version 1.3, the old gray grain elevator, a standard feature on the Riverbend Springs map, has become a free water point.
If you are playing in New Farmer mode, this elevator is already on the starting area. You can drive up to it with a trailer and fill it with water absolutely free of charge. If there is no elevator, you can install it yourself.
But the cost of the facility is $10,000. This is convenient, but not always cost-effective.
Use of natural sources
On many maps there are rivers, ponds or lakes. If the shore is gentle enough, a trailer can be driven right into the water and filled without any expense.
You can get water from natural sources for free. However, there are drawbacks. As a rule, it is quite difficult to drive to the pond and not infrequently the equipment can end up in the water. Another big disadvantage is that the pond may be far away from the farm and a lot of time will be spent getting to it.
Rice field as a free water source
To get free water you can also create a rice field. To do this, you need to open the construction menu, choose the location of the field and set the minimum possible plot.
You will need to install a water pump. After the construction, activate the flooding function. The field will turn into a full-fledged source of water, and the filling of the trailer here is even faster than with the elevator. The cost is only 144 dollars. It's not exactly free, but it's very cheap by the standards of the game.
If you want your water source to harmonize with the landscape, you can use terraforming tools. You can place gravel, dirt, shrubs or decorative trees around it.
Even with the design included, the cost rarely exceeds a thousand dollars - it's still cheaper than installing a grain elevator.
