Scandinavia Refresh DLC - new experience in Copenhagen ETS2
As part of the work on updating Scandinavia Refresh for ETS2, developers talked about the city of Copenhagen, which is of course part of this DLC.
The capital of Denmark is presented to players as a larger, more detailed and living space, capable of surprising even those who have long been on the virtual roads of Europe.
City on the border of two worlds
Located at the entrance to the Scandinavian peninsula, Copenhagen plays an important role in the transport network of the region. It is from here that the path begins through the famous Eresund Tunnel, connecting Denmark with the Swedish Malmö.
Driving along the coast or going down a tunnel, you can see on the horizon outline of Malmö. The city has been completely redeveloped, so you will have a completely new experience of driving and transporting cargo.
History and modernity on the same route
Copenhagen is known for its unique combination of old architecture and cutting-edge solutions in the urban environment, the game designers tried to convey this as accurately as possible. Even the road network reflects the spirit of the city. There are numerous bike paths organically woven into the transport system that accompany the driver on almost every section of the route. The roads are built so that the transport of goods is a maximum pleasure, but it was not very easy.
But the city does not live only by infrastructure. In the center of Copenhagen, instead of the usual square, you can see an amusement park with animated attractions - a surprise touch that turns the trip into a little adventure. Nearby there are key attractions: the town hall, the Christiansborg palace and the art museum «Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek». These locations can be used to create beautiful screenshots.
Architectural symbols of the future
The main charm of renewed Copenhagen lies in its modern architecture. The high twin towers next to the warehouse complex, the Danish architectural center and, of course, the unique waste treatment plant turned into a ski slope. Next to this unusual structure you can purchase a garage, which will be one of the most «stylish» bases for storage of truck transport equipment in ETS2.
Work of the truck driver: from the port to the airport
Of course, the developers did not limit themselves to scenery. In Copenhagen are now available many industrial zones and warehouses, it is understood that they will be extremely useful for the transport of goods.
Added logistics centers, waste processing plants, food factories and even an oil refinery located on an artificial island with a panoramic view of the city. The player will also be able to access the airport cargo terminal.
Renewed Copenhagen is a reminder that even years after the release of Euro Truck Simulator 2, it continues to evolve. And for those who once passed through the old streets of Denmark’s capital, now is the time to come back and reopen it.
