It has been hard for the last year and a half for any type of event that is designed to attract more than a handful of people. We are living in a covid-19 age. We all understand the importance of taking steps to ensure that we are doing everything in our power and knowledge to help with the current pandemic situation. GIANTS Software is no exception here. FarmCon is a big event that has been going on for several years now, and it attracts a crowd all around the globe. Being aware of that there has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding FarmCon 21. No more uncertainty now, though! It has been recently confirmed that GIANTS Software will indeed host FarmCon this year, but they will do so in a virtual fashion.
The event, which will last from the 21st to the 23rd of July of this year, will be fully available online through the game’s twitch tv channel. The developers have expressed several times that it is very important to them to foster community activity. FarmCon is certainly a strong point in terms of connection with the community of players surrounding the game. A lot of people play the game daily and it would not be fair to those who are expecting a big convention to be left with nothing. Since the virtual route is the only viable one, they have decided to go with that instead of leaving us with nothing. Although we would all prefer to have the option of meeting face to face to engage with other like-minded individuals and engage in all the fun activities that are often available at FarmCon we too, understand the importance of doing our part. That is why we are looking forward to this year’s installment of FarmCom. It will surely be packed with lots of interesting information and gameplay activities. Not to mention that the imminent release of Farming Simulator 22 makes this a very special edition of FarmCon indeed.
We can surely expect to see some very interesting gameplay from all the usual suspects in terms of streaming, perhaps some giveaways? We will definitively receive exciting news related to features included in the new installment of the series, which could range from technical details to launch date and anything in between. Those would all be very welcome, and they would help to add to the hype that the new version of the game is already causing around our community.
We are hoping to see information regarding mods here, too. Maybe we will see, as we have seen in previous years, a list of mods that will be supported at launch. Who knows?
All we can do at this point is save the date and write it down on our calendars. We will surely be eagerly awaiting the 21st of July to have access to FarmCon and all the great stuff that will be packed into it. We would not miss it for the world, so see you there!
