New Map for Farming Simulator 22: Elmcreek
We feel that, in general, our community is quite happy with the size and quality of the maps that are currently available and all the options regarding maps, but we sure were very excited to learn that 2 new maps are getting added to the game and that one of the current ones is being re-worked!
Maps are very important in the way we experience the game and can start to get old after a few hundred hours of gameplay, so having this variety is excellent news. A previous expansion has already started down the path of adding maps to the game, and this new version will go forward even further.
Elmcreek Map
That is the name of this new map. We are taking a look at it for the first time, and it sure seems very promising. GIANTS Software did not share a lot of details about Elmcreek because it is a work in progress, and as such, it will probably change quite a lot in the months coming up to the release of the game. What we have seen so far is a very big map, located in the Midwest of the United States. It seems that the land will be filled with plenty of trees and a lot of natural running water.
Not much is known beyond a screenshot and a few written details, but we can surely speculate, and our informed guess is that we are probably going to see on this map variations on the systems that are already in place, to make the experience unique to this map, while remaining part of the game itself. A fully-fledged town seems to be part of the map, as well, which will probably make things a bit more interesting. Especially because plenty of other systems that will probably interact with the town are being worked on too.
Overall it seems very promising, and we can expect a few more details to come out as soon as the development team is ready to share, so you should check back regularly to make sure that you don’t miss out on any news.
