For years, we've been depending on mods to bring us the precision and ease of automated fieldwork, and it seems the developers have listened. From the brief shots in the video, it appears the GPS system is incredibly user-friendly, with clear on-screen instructions and intuitive interface controls.
I know many of us have been hoping for this feature to become a standard part of the game, and it's thrilling to see it finally happening. Imagine the possibilities—straighter rows, optimal planting patterns, and so much more efficient time on the field. This is going to revolutionize our virtual farming experience.

What are your thoughts?

Finally! No more fiddling with mods. This is going to make large-scale farming so much more manageable!

I really wish it wasn't confirmed.

Giants have a history of integrating mods into the base game and watering them down. Look at what happened with Seasons—it's missing changeable climates, realistic hay making, and the challenge of uncovered bale loss. Instead of authentic damage and maintenance, we now just have a system that costs money without ever stopping you from using neglected vehicles. Soilmod was superior to the current fertiliser, weed, and lime systems, and even the precision farming DLC lacks depth in comparison.

The attempt to integrate Autodrive and Courseplay into worker AI was a flop. It’s unreliable and hardly matches the functionality of the original mods, so much so that the Autodrive mod is still essential for efficient farm work. The only mod they managed to incorporate decently was Hardpoint Extension, with its customisation options and workshops.

Introducing GPS in FS25 probably means we’ll get another watered-down feature that lacks the sophistication and reliability of the original GPS mod. I’m skeptical but hoping Giants will prove me wrong this time.
