Description:
This mod enhances the animal system with the following features:
- Animals produce both male and female offspring (just chicks in the basic game).
- The number of offspring is breed specific.
- Reproduction does not rely on health.
- Reproduction may start either manually or automatically.
- Male animals may initiate reproduction automatically.
- Reproduction that is not induced by male animals incurs a charge per animal (prices vary by breed).
- Reproduction may fail depending on how long ago the last birth occurred and how old the animal is.
- Cows' milk output and feed intake have been changed to match the lactation curve. After giving birth, cows eat more feed while simultaneously producing more milk. Both diminish over time. If a cow hasn't produced kids in a long time, milk production will halt totally.
- Cows dry for two months before to giving birth. This signifies that they do not produce any milk at this moment.
Animals may live for more than 60 months.- When animals are sick, their health deteriorates.
- When animals reach their maximum age, their health declines.
- Stables may accommodate more animals than mentioned owing to reproduction. Overcrowding has a negative impact on the animals' health.
The exact values are:
Lactation Curve:
Month after birth: zero. Feed factor = 0.9. Milk factor: 1.0.
Month after birth: 1 Feed factor is 1.02, milk factor is 1.1, and month after birth is 2. Feed factor: 1.08; milk factor: 1.2.
Month after birth: 3 Feed Factor: 1.06 Milk factor is 1.15
Month after birth: 4 Feed factor: 1.02; milk factor: 1.1
Month after birth: 5 Feed factor: 1.01. Milk factor: 1.05.
Month after birth: 6 Feed Factor: The milk factor is 1.0.
Month after birth: 7 Feed Factor: 1.0 Milk factor = 0.95
Month after birth: 8 Feed Factor: 1.0 Milk factor: 0.9.
Month after birth: 9 Feed Factor: 1.0 Milk factor = 0.85.
Month after birth: 10 Feed Factor: 1.0 Milk factor: 0.8.
Month after birth: eleven. Feed Factor: 1.0 Milk factor = 0.75.
Month after birth: 12 Feed Factor: 1.0 Milk factor: 0.7.
Month after birth: 13 Feed Factor: 1.0 Milk factor: 0.6.
Month following birth: fourteen. Feed Factor: 1.0 Milk factor: 0.5.
Month after birth: 15 Feed Factor: 1.0 Milk factor: 0.4.
Month following birth: sixteen. Feed Factor: 1.0 Milk factor: 0.3.
Month after birth: 17 Feed factor: 1.0; Milk factor: 0.2.
Month after birth: 18 Feed factor: 1.0; Milk factor: 0.1.
Month after birth: >=19 Feed factor: 1.0; milk factor: 0.0.
Offspring's probabilities:
Cows: 0 offspring. Probability: 1%.
Number of offspring: One Probability: 98%.
Number of offspring: Two Probability: 1%.
Pigs:
Number of offspring: eight. Probability: 20%
Number of offspring: nine Probability: 20%
The number of offspring is 10. Probability: 20%
Number of offspring: eleven Probability: 20%
Number of offspring: twelve Probability: 20%
Sheep: 0 offspring. Probability: 1%.
Number of offspring: One Probability: 59%.
Number of offspring: Two Probability: 30%.
Number of offspring: three Probability: 20%
Horses:
0 offspring. Probability: 1%.
Number of offspring: One Probability: 98%.
Number of offspring: Two Probability: 1%.
Chickens:
Offspring: 0 Probability: 10%.
Number of offspring: One Probability: 50%.
Number of offspring: Two Probability: 30%.
Number of offspring: three Probability: 10%.
Probability of success in initiating reproduction:
Months after last birth: zero. Probability: zero percent
Months after last birth: 1; probability: 40%.
Months after last birth: two. Probability: 80 percent
Months after previous birth: >2 Probability: 100%.
The probability of initiating reproduction reduces by 1% after a given age:
Cows: 72 months. Steps: Seven months.
Pigs: 48 months. Steps: Four months.
Sheep age: 72 months. Steps: Seven months.
Horses: 180 months. Steps: Eight months.
Chickens: 36 Months Steps: Three months.
For example, a cow last gave birth five months ago. This signifies that the likelihood is 100 percent. However, she is now eighty months old. She is therefore 8 months above the maximum age of 72 months (80 minus 72 = 8). Every 7 months, the likelihood of cows rises. This incurs a 2% penalty for this cow (8/7 rounded up to 2). This cow still has a 98% chance of successfully initiating reproduction.
Maximum age of the animals:
Cows: 300 Months
Pigs: 180 months.
Sheep: 144 Months
Horses: 360 Months
Chickens: 180 months.
The probability that an animal would vanish when it reaches its maximum age is 5%.
The probability of an animal vanishing while its health is at zero percent is 10%.
