Required Equipment

Moreover, there are trucks in the game with similar tanks. You can also use them. There are no strict requirements on what specific equipment is needed. The most important thing is that it can hold water.

The only advice we can give is not to buy too small a tank but to get a large one that can hold a lot of water. With a small tank, you will face many problems, and you will have to frequently travel to the water source, which is a waste of precious time! It’s even better to buy a tank with a forced discharge system, so if it is needed for other liquids, you can easily and quickly get rid of the water. Otherwise, you will have to find a way to dispose of it (for example, buying many animals so they drink all the water).

You can buy all the equipment in the shop. To open it, press the P key on the keyboard. You will find the tank in the "Tools" — "Animals" section. There are quite a few different water tank options to choose from. Buy or rent the option you need.

Also, don’t forget to buy a tractor for transportation. Consider the power requirements of the tank so that the tractor can pull it.

Where to Get Water?

Now let’s move on to the most important question—where to get water in FS 25. There are actually several options to get water for your farm or greenhouses.

The first option is to buy water from a water tower. This is incredibly simple and convenient. However, there is one significant downside—it is quite expensive. If you have a lot of greenhouses or animals, you will find that this can quickly lead to bankruptcy. Therefore, we will set this option aside (though you can use it if you wish) and move on to the free method of obtaining water in the game.

The first thing that comes to mind is to go to a body of water. Believe it or not, this is a valid option! This is exactly where we will be collecting water to water our animals or irrigate your crops, or for any other needs.

So, let’s go step by step:

• Get into the tractor. Approach it closely and press E. Then start the engine by pressing ENTER, if needed. Drive to your water tank and attach it by pressing Q.

• Find the nearest water source on the map. This can be a lake, pond, river, or even a small puddle.

• When you arrive at the water source, carefully reverse as close to the water as possible. Do this carefully to avoid the equipment falling into the water.

• Once you are close enough to the water and the tank is at the right distance, the game will prompt you with a key to press to fill it with water. Press it and wait for the process to complete.

• All done, the water is in your tank. You can now head back to the farm and use it for your needs.

As you can see, it’s incredibly simple! This is one of the best ways to get water in FS 25. Additionally, some maps have free water columns. You can easily fill the tank at these as well.
