How to Grow Peas in Farming Simulator 25
Peas are a new and highly profitable crop in FS25. Growing them does not require complicated procedures, and they can bring in a decent income.
However, growing this crop has its own specifics that must be taken into account in order to obtain a good yield and stable income. Therefore, below we will consider all the stages of growing this agricultural crop.
Stage 1: Field preparation
It all starts with analyzing the condition of the field.
If there are remnants of the previous harvest on the field and the status indicates the need for plowing, it is necessary to treat the area with a plow, subsoiler, or cutter.
If plowing is not required, you can use a cultivator, disc harrow, or other equipment from the soil cultivation section.
Pay attention to the game settings. If the periodic plowing function is activated, you need to perform this procedure regularly to avoid a decrease in yield.
If stones are enabled, stone formations may appear after tilling the land, which can either be removed with stone pickers or pressed into the soil with rollers. Stones do not affect the harvest, but they accelerate the wear and tear of equipment, so they must be removed.
If the soil requires lime application, the field will be highlighted in blue.
In this case, a liming machine is used. In the basic version of the game, there is only one machine for this purpose, which combines the functions of a fertilizer spreader and a lime spreader.
Stage 2: sowing peas
Peas can be sown with a conventional seeder. A seeder with a direct sowing function is best suited. Such units are capable of sowing on uncultivated stubble. So you can save a lot of time by using them.
You can check the support for direct sowing in the description of the equipment in the store. If it says “supports direct sowing,” you can safely work without preliminary cultivation.
Before starting sowing, you need to fill the seeder with seeds, which are sold in the store in standard bags. If the selected equipment supports simultaneous fertilizer application, solid fertilizer is additionally loaded into it (these can also be found in the game store in the corresponding section).
After setting the crop to “peas” and deploying the seeder, you can start working. If everything is working correctly, the first layer of fertilizer will be automatically added during the sowing process.
If the fertilizer is not applied, it may be a bug in a specific model — this sometimes happens in early builds of the game. But this is not a problem, you can always fertilize the field after sowing the crop.
Stage 3: caring for crops
Peas, like any other agricultural crop, require care. Fertilizer must be spread on the field throughout the growing season. Ideally, the field should be fertilized before sowing and after the peas have grown a little (after about 1 game month).
Various types of equipment are suitable for fertilizing. You can use spreaders for solid fertilizers, sprayers for liquid fertilizers, as well as equipment for applying manure, slurry, or digestate.
You also need to make sure that there are no weeds in the field, as they also greatly affect the yield.
If weeds are enabled in the settings, they will appear within the first two game months. To avoid losing part of the harvest, weeds must be destroyed. To do this, use a sprayer with herbicide. It easily copes with weeds of any size. Weeders are an alternative, but they can only be used against small weeds.
To determine the stage of the weeds, simply approach the field.
The lower right corner of the screen will indicate “weeds (small)” “medium” or “large” At this stage, crop care is considered complete, and all that remains is to wait for the crop to ripen.
Stage 4: Harvesting
When the peas reach maturity, the field takes on a characteristic orange hue. If seasonal growth is used, the crop can only be harvested from July to September. If the harvesting stage is missed, the crop will wither.
A specialized Oxbo EPD540e Harvester pea harvester is required for harvesting. It is equipped with the necessary cutter bar and has a hopper capacity of 3,700 liters.
Harvesting is started in the standard way: the harvester is lowered, activated, and harvesting begins as it moves. You only need to follow the trajectory to harvest the crop correctly.
The fill level is displayed with a slight delay, as the product first enters the machine's mechanism.
Stage 5: Storage and sale

Immediately after harvesting, the crop can be unloaded into any trailer that supports bulk crops. However, in the basic version of the game, there is no option to store peas in silos. It also cannot be unloaded onto the ground. Therefore, the only options are to temporarily leave the product in the trailer or immediately send it for sale.
There are special points of sale where you can sell peas. In the price menu, find the “peas” category and select the appropriate location. After that, you can place a marker on the map and go to the point of sale.
When you arrive at the unloading area, just press the unload button, and the money will automatically be credited to your account. For a small amount of peas, you can get more than 7,000 game dollars.
Peas can also be used in production chains — for example, for canning or food production. However, these functions are limited in the basic game, and most often peas are sold directly.
