Farming Simulator: Signature Edition Announced for Switch 2
GIANTS Software has officially announced Farming Simulator: Signature Edition, a new version of the iconic farming simulator that will be available on the next generation of Nintendo Switch consoles.
The release is scheduled for winter 2025, but the exact date is still unknown.
Farming Simulator: Signature Edition is based on Farming Simulator 25, the main desktop part of the franchise, which is already generating interest among loyal fans. This means that Switch 2 users will get expanded and deep gameplay that has never been seen before on Nintendo consoles.
The game will feature more than 400 pieces of agricultural equipment from over 150 international brands. Virtual farmers will also have access to 25 crops and three maps, each offering unique climatic and geographical features.
The developers have confirmed that the action will take place in three regions:
- Europe,
- North America,
- East Asia.
These are the same basic locations as in Farming Simulator 25 — Zilanka, Riverbend Springs, and Huten Pentai. Thus, Nintendo Switch 2 will not receive a stripped-down adaptation, but a version that is as close to the original as possible, with a full set of content.
A new brand and the first steps towards expansion

In addition to the already announced elements, Farming Simulator: Signature Edition will include another important innovation — a major agricultural machinery manufacturer, which will appear in the series for the first time. Its name is still a secret, but according to GIANTS Software, it will be available at the launch of Signature Edition.
Many players speculate that this may be related to the planned Year 1 expansion for Farming Simulator 25, but there is no official confirmation yet.
Additional information about the release of the Plains & Prairies add-on, which will be available on existing platforms, is also expected in the near future. At the same time, the developers have promised to announce the exact release date of the Signature Edition for Switch 2.
Although details are still scarce, the first screenshots and project specifications suggest that Farming Simulator: Signature Edition will be the most technologically advanced and visually impressive release in the series for Nintendo platforms. Unlike previous adaptations, Signature Edition will apparently be as close as possible to the desktop version.
All that remains is to wait for new details — both about the release date and the mysterious brand that will join the game's list of partners.
