Precision Farming 3.0: Farming Simulator 25 is Smarter, Greener and More Profitable
Farming Simulator 25 has received one of the most significant updates in recent times - Precision Farming 3.0. This is a complete system that deeply implements modern agribusiness technologies into the game. The Precision Farming 3.0 update includes 7 new elements, including machinery, sensors and features.
The developers have improved the system, added new features, updated mechanics and offered a lot of innovations that are worth talking more about.
What's New?

The first thing that catches the eye is the technology. The system has acquired advanced features that were previously only available in real agribusiness.
-
Tramlines - now you can create clear paths for machinery right on the crop fields. This allows you to avoid “trampling” the crop when spraying and fertilizing.
-
Siderate subsidies - if you plant intercrops, such as oilseed radish, and leave the field planted in February, you get a bonus of up to $200 per hectare. Enjoyable and profitable!
-
Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) - Each atomizer in the sprayer works individually, adjusting to speed and turns. Less wastage, more accuracy.
-
Automatic Section Control - technology now turns off individual sections of equipment itself so there is no re-spraying or missed zones.
New machinery and sensors

The update also added 6 new machines, including advanced precision farming solutions.
- The John Deere R975i is a powerful sprayer equipped with the latest PWM technology and automatic sectioning system.
- HAWE Body Swap System - a platform with body swap capability, transforms an ordinary trailer into a high-tech machine.
- Wienhoff 25.200 PTW Profi Line - manure spreader with sensor for organic fertilizers.
- PTx Trimble WeedSeeker2 - sensors that can be fitted to most sprayers, turning them into spot sprayers for weed control. Even if you have older equipment, you can now upgrade it with the Trimble WeedSeeker2, turning a conventional sprayer into a spot sprayer.
Full functionality of Precision Farming 3.0
The new version retains the best of previous iterations:
- Identifying and analyzing soil types.
- Collecting samples using mobile laboratories.
- Formation of the farm's ecological rating.
- Detailed economic analytics and yield maps.
- Utilization of crop sensors (crop sensors).
- Automatic adjustment of seeding rates depending on the soil.
- Variable rate weed control.
- Variable rate application of manure and mineral fertilizer.
- Spot application of lime.
The Precision Farming project was created as part of the EIT Food initiative (a leading innovator in food technology in the EU) in collaboration with John Deere, universities and research organizations from Germany, the UK, Spain and Poland. The aim is to show how sustainable technology can make a real difference to farming and to communicate this message to a wider audience. Farming Simulator has become a great platform to popularize such knowledge.
Now players you can learn and earn just by playing. The higher your ecological score - the higher the profit. For example, if you reach 100 points, you can get up to 15% bonus to the cost of crops when selling. And many processes are automated. The main thing is not to forget about sensors and properly set up the technique.
The add-on is available for Windows (Steam and Epic Games Store) and Mac OS X (including via Mac App Store) - from version 1.8 and higher.
The add-on is available for free on the official Farming Simulator 25 website at the link below!
