How the cheat works

The cheat code reduces the wanted level by one star per use. That is, if you have 4 stars, you will have to enter the code several times to completely get rid of the chase.

This method only works in single-player mode and will not give you any achievements or saves until you restart the game.

How to enter the cheat on PC

On PC, there are two ways: through the console command or through the character's phone.

Method 1: Through the console

   1. Press the “~” key (tilde) on your keyboard - it opens the console.

   2. Type the command: LAWYERUP.

   3. Press Enter

Each use of the code reduces the search level by one star. Repeat if you need to completely get rid of the chase.

Method 2: Via phone

   1. Open your phone in the game (↑ key on the arrows or gamepad).

   2. Go to Contacts.

   3. Press the button to enter the number (usually the space bar or the button on the controller).

   4. Enter the number 1-999-5299-3787 (which corresponds to “LAWYERUP”) and press Dial.

Can I use them in GTA Online?

Unfortunately no, cheat codes do not work in GTA Online. You can only remove the wanted level there with the help of Lester by calling him and selecting the “Remove Wanted Level” option, which costs a certain amount of money.
