Friend Request mission opens a line of big heists in GTA 5. Lester Cross, a hacker and strategist, appears in the game for the first time. In the future, he will coordinate all the important raids.

In this mission, Michael must infiltrate the office of the technology company Lifeinvader and install an explosive device in the prototype of a new smartphone.

How to Start the Mission

The mission opens after completing the Marriage Counseling mission.

Head to Lester's house. There an important dialog will take place.



During the conversation, he will tell Michael about a good way to earn some easy money, but first he will demand a “favor”.

Clothes to get into the office

You have to dress Michael in the clothes of an IT guy, otherwise you won't be able to get into the office.



Lester hinted that the programmers will only recognize you as one of their own if you are dressed like them. So, head to the Suburban store (marked on the map) and buy the following things:

   - Shorts

   - A sleeveless shirt or vest

   - Any simple t-shirt

Then head straight to the Lifeinvader office.

Infiltrating the office

When you get to the office, walk around it and go to the back entrance. After a few seconds, an employee of the company will come out of there, going for a smoke break.



He will think that you have come to fix the computer and will lead you inside.

Follow him through the office space. You will end up at a desk.

Virus and banner mini-game

When you sit down at your computer, the game will start. Many intrusive advertising windows will appear on the screen.



Your task is to close them all as quickly as possible to then run the antivirus. Use your cursor to click on the “cross” of each banner. Once you free the screen, open the antivirus program, click "Scan", wait for the analysis to finish and remove the viruses found.

Implementing the device

After “fixing” the computer, the Lifeinvader employee will tell you that the prototype of the new smartphone is lying in the office. Follow him, go into the right room and install the device in the sample.



A short cutscene will turn on, where Michael will replace one of the boards.

It is now safe to leave the building through the main entrance.

Mission Completion

Return home and turn on the TV. A live broadcast of the presentation of the new device will start on the screen.

Wait until the head of Lifeinvader Jay Norris - picks up the phone. At that moment, call him to activate the explosive device. The phone will explode right in his hand, completing the mission.

Gold Medal Conditions

To pass the mission 100% and get a gold medal, you need to fulfill two conditions:

   1. Time: Complete the mission in 8 minutes and 30 seconds. To meet the time limit, do not waste time on trips and scenes - go straight to the goal.

   2. Fighting ads: Close all pop-ups in 32 seconds. Practice reacting quickly and don't miss the close buttons.

After completing the mission, you'll get a call from the same programmer who guided Michael inside. He realized that you're not a real techie and will offer his services if you ever need “business”.

From this point on, he will be available as a heist hacker - one of the most available and loyal helpers.
