Fish Slapper – Smack Your Catch or Dive In and Throw Hands

Tired of peaceful fishing? Choose action.

Fish Slapper is a lightweight SMAPI mod for Stardew Valley that lets you handle fish your way. Instead of patiently reeling them in, you can slap them silly. You have two options: give your catch a "welcome to my inventory" smack or skip the rod entirely, dive into the river, and fight fish face-to-face.

– Fish Slap (After Catch)
Show the fish who's boss! After catching a fish, press the key to deliver a satisfying slap.
Watch your farmer perform a punch-style animation with a hop, impact particles, and a crisp "SMACK" sound.
A post-brawl summary appears, showing player name, fish name, slap count, and clear time.

– Dive Slap (During Minigame)
Losing the fishing minigame? Jump in! Press the key to dive into the water and fight the fish directly.
Enjoy a fully animated sequence: dive like a torpedo, swim to the fish, slap it, and return to shore. Includes custom sound effects and splash particles.
Difficulty scales with the fish's vanilla difficulty rating and movement.

– Winning: FATALITY
Knock the fish out and get a triumphant HUD message with time and slap count.

– Failing: Emotional Damage
Fish fight back, slap you, and leave you humiliated.

– Balance Notes
Each Dive Slap costs 20 HP and 50 stamina.
You cannot collect treasure chests while Dive Slapping.

– General Features
On-screen key prompts appear while fishing (configurable).
Optional Generic Mod Config Menu support for rebinds and toggles.
Available in English and Simplified Chinese.

Fish Slap (After catch): Right Mouse Button or Space
Dive Slap (In minigame): Q

Stardew Valley
SMAPI 4.0.0 or later
Generic Mod Config Menu (optional, recommended)

– Installation

• Install SMAPI.
• Download the latest Fish Slapper release.
• Extract the FishSlapper folder into Stardew Valley/Mods.
• Start slapping fish!
