Cosmetology – Beauty Products and Cosmetics

This Cosmetology Mod is inspired by lab work and the machines and analyzers used there. The focus is on an industrial and scientific feel while keeping gameplay enjoyable. It also introduces a production pipeline where one machine’s output becomes another machine’s input. It works well with mods like Automate and Stardio, but this is optional.

Getting Started

You will receive a manual in the mail after a few in-game days. Most of the mod content starts after you learn the Furnace recipe from Clint, so finding copper ore early helps.

Helper quests and mail support can be enabled or disabled. They guide you through the basics and provide early ingredients so you can start crafting sooner.

The mod works with existing saves. It may take a few in-game days of sleep before it activates fully.

You can create items ranging from fragrances to shampoo using product bases.

The mod also adds themed sets made from your products. Mystery kits and samplers can be equipped in the accessory slot and give buffs and store discounts. These scale with progress and friendship levels. Collection sets are artisan goods that combine multiple products and are designed for profit.

Translations are welcome. Assets can be used in other Stardew Valley projects with credit. No payment should be charged for any use.

Cosmetics gift preferences may need adjustments when used with mods that change characters, such as DSV or genderbends. Custom gift tastes for such mods can be added if provided, with credit.
