Assetto Corsa Evo 0.3 is Available on Steam: What's New in the Game
Update Assetto Corsa Evo 0.3 is out! Until now it was in open beta mode. Now the developers have reported that a full version of the patch is available and accessible to all users who bought early access AC Evo in Steam.
Much work has been done on the update and the game got many new features and improvements. The most important innovation of the third release is the multiplayer. Also worked on the physics, sound, interface and other important details of the game.
Long-awaited multiplayer
Players have been looking forward to the introduction of multiplayer mode. In the third release, it finally happened! For the multi-user mode, the creators used a unique platform created jointly by SIATI (Swiss Institute of Innovative Arts and Technologies). The mode is available from the main menu, in the section "Multiplayer". Servers are available 24 hours a day and free of charge.
For one race at the moment there is a limit of up to 16 riders. In the future, their number is planned to expand. There are also many racing scenarios.
In addition, thanks to the new multi-player platform, it will be possible in the future to rent, configure and create your own server configurations.
The developers promise that the player will be able to rent a server and configure it as they see fit. For example, it will be possible to protect the server with a password, select a list of cars, configure weather conditions and other important changes.
The price of a 24-hour server will be 15 euros + VAT per month. At this price, the server will be available for up to 20 slots. If you need more slots, the price will be the same.
For those who want to play single-player multiplayer will be a separate model of purchase on 1 day for 5 €, the number of slots is unlimited.
Buyers of subscriptions from 3 to 12 months receive a discount of 10 to 50 percent respectively.
The Daily Racing Portal system that Kunos worked on with SimGrid is planned for the 4th release of early access. It will be a kind of daily running competitions with real players.

Two new tracks
KUNOS Simulazioni is well aware of this, so in a number of already existing tracks in 0.3 you are waiting for the replenishment in the form of 2 new race tracks.
Laser scanning technology was used to create both tracks, allowing even the smallest details of legendary autodromes to be transmitted with maximum accuracy.
Red Bull Ring is a modern autodrome in Spillberg (Austria), known for the combination of rapid direct and technical links turns against the backdrop of scenic Alps. The track is used for Formula 1, MotoGP and many other races, famous for its fast but compact character of just over 4.3 km in length.
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps - the legendary Belgian track in the Ardennes, known for its length (more than 7 km), elevation changes and iconic turns such as Eau Rouge-Raidillon. It is considered one of the most challenging and spectacular motorsport in the world, taking Formula 1, endurance racing and many international series.
Graphics and user interface
Assetto Corsa Evo strives for realism and the graphics even in the early access stage of the game already looks quite impressive. But there is no limit to perfection, so in AC EVO 0.3 the creators decided to work a little on the graphics. The interface is also important, because it provides convenience and comfort of choosing tracks, cars and affects the overall impression of the game, speed of navigation and user involvement in the process.
- A brand new multi-functional display (MFD) offers custom pages, displays input data and leaderboard in real time.
- Updated speed, tire and transmission widgets are complemented by new indicators including Pit Limiter status.
- The interface is now characterized by smoother transitions and readability directly during the race.
- Improved global lighting together with the post-processing system forms a richer and more flexible picture of lighting.
- The balance of light effects and improved image blur improve consistency even in the most challenging scenes.
- Optimized video memory usage (VRAM) reduces load and provides more stable FPS.
Sound enhancement
Each car in the AC Evo 0.3 got new bright engine sounds. Also, sound effects of exhaust were improved.
- Every car now has its own animation of the start: from the sound of the ignition to the characteristic roar of the engine.
- The engines received an individual temp, giving each car its own «voice».
- The engine’s inertia was modeled: light engines quickly untwist and drop speeds, while heavy ones react more smoothly.
- Transmission and torque distribution are accompanied by an acoustic effect of the transmission operation.
- Implemented throttle response delay and turbo boost features, forming realistic audio feedback.
- Exhaust sounds are dynamically dependent on load and speed.
New showrooms
When choosing a car, the environment is important, in which its details are highlighted, the right mood is created and the emotional perception of the car is formed. In the new release, updated showrooms have been added, where you can look at the car in detail, evaluate its design and atmosphere in different lighting conditions and environments.
The third release of Assetto Corsa Evo is now available for download on Steam. You can install it right now and try all the improvements and changes right now!
