Changelog
Updates for 0.6.0: 0.6.0 — The Court is now in session
- A Court system where the adjuster's notes are now the Court's rulings. The Claim Readout opens with an objection and a reply.
- Impacts are now graded in tiers: graze, ding, tap, hit, crash, catastrophe. Grazes cost $0; only a tap or worse generates a form.
- Gravel traps now soak up energy, resulting in smaller claims than hitting a wall.
- Injury thresholds now depend on the driver's experience with g-forces (e.g., Formula 4 drivers are less likely to be injured by the same force as a club racer).
- Fault is now influenced by the racing line; hitting a car while three wheels off the line puts the fault on the driver.
- Added on-screen sound words and optional screen shake/flash for impacts.
- New Look section with ten themes and customizable panel shapes, fonts, and text sizes.
- Meme sound pack is now bundled into the main download.

Description
THE COST OF RACING
Not your fault. You still pay.
A CSP Lua app for the most overlooked people in motorsport: the stewards, the loss adjusters, and the claims administrators. Every impact on your car becomes an insurance claim. You get a parts list, real-world prices, shop hours, and an assessment of what the hit did to your body. Then the claim is denied.
The goal is to simulate what racing actually costs your car, your wallet, and your neck. The numbers for parts, shop hours, and medical bills are real-world estimates priced by location.
Features
- Impact Measurement: Evaluates speed change, direction, g-force, and contact type (rear-ended, side-swiped, dive-bombed, or "racing incident").
- Repair Estimates: Uses real parts and labor costs based on the car class, from karts up to Formula 1.
- Medical Assessment: Grades injuries to the head, neck, back, chest, hands, and legs, including recovery days and bills.
- Grounds-keeping: Invoices for trips off-track, covering turf repair, gravel gardening, and environmental levies.
- Regional Pricing: Repairs and hospital bills vary based on the country (USA, UK, Germany, Japan) and insurance coverage (EHIC, ACC, etc.).
- Generated Paperwork: Creates a unique claim card (PNG) and HTML claim form for each session, featuring randomly generated fictional insurers, logos, mottos, and denial reason codes.
- Commemorative Awards: Includes non-redeemable awards like the Golden Bumper and Plaintiff of the Year.
- Claim Readout Window: A session summary of all bills, claims, and invoices.
- Claims Desk: An HTML file to track your lifetime ledger and medical history.
- Customization: Ability to move, scale, and fade overlays with a real-time preview.
- Universal Compatibility: Works with any car, any track, and any damage setting.

Installation Instructions
1. Copy the apps folder into your Assetto Corsa install folder (the one with acs.exe) and overwrite.
2. In game, open The Cost of Racing from the apps bar.
3. Claims are saved to Documents\Assetto Corsa\cost_of_racing. Open them in ClaimsDesk.html.
Requirements:
- Needs Custom Shaders Patch with Lua apps (0.2.x or newer).
- Pairs with Black Line Dreams for a career experience where bills affect your wallet.
