Description
The 2020 BMW M235i xDrive Gran Coupe marked a significant milestone in BMW history. Introduced as a brand-new model for the 2020 model year (internal code F44), it was designed to target a younger, entry-level luxury demographic and directly compete with the Audi S3 and Mercedes-AMG CLA 35.

- Upgraded Twin Garrett T25-Turbo pushing 360+ WHP
- Chipped engine
- 16-inch Rotor and M Performance Brakes
- Upgraded Suspension
- Android Auto
- Emissive Lights: Main headlights (EXTRA_A), Bumper Foglights (EXTRA_B), Exterior Neon Lights (EXTRA_C)
- Animations: Sunroof (EXTRA_D), Front Windows (EXTRA_E), Rear Windows (EXTRA_F), Hood (EXTRA_G), HUD (EXTRA_H)
History & Context
For decades, BMW’s identity was rooted in front-engine, rear-wheel-drive (RWD) sports sedans. The 2020 M235i Gran Coupe fundamentally shattered that tradition.
The Platform Shift: Unlike the traditional 2 Series two-door coupes which remained RWD, the Gran Coupe was built on the BMW/Mini UKL2 front-wheel-drive architecture. It shared its core underpinnings with the Mini Cooper, BMW X1, and BMW X2 crossovers.
Transverse Engine: The engine was mounted transversely instead of longitudinally, pushing the weight bias forward and altering the car's physical proportions.
Performance & US-Spec Mechanicals: To justify its "M Performance" badge, BMW packed the vehicle with high-output hardware:
- The Engine: 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder pushing out 301 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque.
- Drivetrain & Transmission: All-wheel drive (xDrive) standard, paired exclusively with an 8-speed Aisin automatic transmission.
- Handling Tech: Standard M Sport brakes, a mechanical Torsen limited-slip front differential, and a specialized wheel slip limitation system.
- Straight-Line Speed: Sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 to 4.9 seconds.
Installation Instructions
For better steering options, go into the new Content Manager FFB TWEAKS and activate these settings: Basic, more physically accurate gyro implementation, additional post-processing script, additional post-processing and custom soft lock. Tweak between the settings for the best experience. Keep the default CM settings otherwise.
