After a five-year hiatus, the 2020 GT500 returned as Ford's most powerful production car then to-date—its aggressive contours concealing a 760 horsepower supercharged 5.2L V8. Far from just brute strength, the top performer took a wholistic approach to track-dominance with 16.5-inch two-piece brake rotors, adaptive suspension, and aerodynamic bodywork improving cooling and downforce. A further $18,500 Carbon Fiber Track Package pushed available performance and weight savings with Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, rear seat delete, adjustable wing and front splitter, and locking carbon fiber wheels.

Track use-case front and center, this GT500 makes no secret of extensive performance equipment both optional and as standard from front hood pins to the composite GT4 rear wing. Carbon fiber extends throughout the interior, optional bodywork, and staggered-width 20-inch wheels. All 760 horsepower is handled by a Tremec seven-speed dual-clutch transmission charged with exacting shifts up and down the 7,500rpm rev range. A Torsen rear differential, 3.73 gearing, and Magneride damping enable formidable grip.
