Description
Honda CR110 "Naked" (1962)
The gem for private racers
Unlike the unattainable official Grand Prix machines such as the RC116, the Honda CR110 was born with a very different purpose: to make racing technology accessible to private riders and teams. Based on the production racer series, the unfaired (“naked”) version offered the purest and most direct way to experience competitive motorcycling in the 1960s.
Features
- For privateers, not factory teams: It was marketed directly to independent riders seeking to compete in national championships and clubman races.
- Unveiled spirit: By doing away with the front fairing, the engine was fully exposed, giving it an aggressive, lightweight, and mechanical aesthetic.
- Pure, agile dynamics: The reduced weight in the front end and its agility in tight corners made it an incredibly nimble machine on twisty circuits.
