Official WRC models for the first 2500 were only made in 1994, as needed by WRC homologation requirements. All ST205s sold in Australia were WRC variants, known as the GT- Four Group A Rally. All Australian- spec ST205s had leather interiors, with the only options being air conditioning and a glass sunroof. Each of the 77 automobiles comes with a limited edition numbered plaque located front of the gear change. Instead of adopting the Super Strut Suspension used in production vehicles, the real ST205 rally cars for WRC were equipped with ordinary strut suspension since the demands of racing caused excessive wear.
