In 2006, Maserati released a track- only version of their MC12 supercar that was closer in specification to the specialized MC12 GT1 racing vehicle, which proved to be highly successful in GT competition. It was known as the 'MC12 Versione Corse', and only 12 of them were produced and sold to wealthy track aficionados throughout the world. Chassis number two has not been made street legal, but that doesn't matter since you'd never want to drive it on a public road because the vehicle is so low to the ground that you may not even make it out of your own driveway. Even if you do manage to get out of the driveway, you'll be dealing with some pretty harsh suspension and a terrible lack of sight.
