The Mazda MX- 5 (ND) represents the fourth generation of the MX- 5. Mazda formally introduced the vehicle on September 3, 2014, in the United States and Spain, and September 4, 2014, in Japan. The redesigned MX- 5 was unveiled at the October 2014 Paris Motor Show and the November 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The automobile is built at Mazda's Hiroshima facility. The car was launched during the third quarter of 2015. The MX- 5's US release price ranged from $24,915 to $30,065. On March 24, 2016, the MX- 5 was named World Car of the Year (WCOTY) and World Car Design of the Year at the New York Auto Show. It was Mazda's second World Car of the Year victory, after the Demio/Mazda2 in 2008.
