The Porsche 550 Spyder mod for Assetto Corsa recreates the iconic mid-20th century sports car for players to drive on the virtual tracks. Produced between 1953 and 1956, the 550 Spyder is remembered as one of Porsche's most notable vehicles, famously known as the car in which James Dean met his untimely end.

The mod faithfully reproduces the 550 Spyder's characteristics, including its lightweight, rear-wheel-drive layout, and meticulous engineering. It is powered by a 1.5L DOHC Flat-4 engine that delivered around 110 horsepower in the real car. This allowed the 550 Spyder to reach respectable speeds for its time, with a top speed around 140 mph thanks to its light kerb weight below 600 kg. In terms of torque, it delivered approximately 120 Nm.
