The Renault R26 is a Formula One race vehicle that was utilized by the Renault F1 team during the 2006 season. Bob Bell, James Allison, Tim Densham, and Dino Toso developed the chassis, while Pat Symonds, executive director of Engineering, oversaw the car's design and construction, and Rob White led engine design. Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella drove the vehicle. It won 8 of 18 races this season, behind only the rival Ferrari 248 F1. The R26 helped Renault win the Constructors' Championship by 5 points over Ferrari, while Fernando Alonso won his second Drivers' Championship in a row, 13 points ahead of Michael Schumacher. Michelin won the most recent Constructors' Championship. Renault utilized the 'Mild Seven' logo in Bahrain, Malaysia, Australia, Spain, Monaco, the United States, Hungary, China, and Japan. In areas where tobacco product promotion was prohibited, the Mild Seven language was substituted with "Team Spirit".

The R26, like its rival the Ferrari 248 F1, was notable for its rock- solid reliability. Chassis R26- 03, driven by Fernando Alonso, started all of the races of the 2006 season without the need to be replaced (F1 drivers typically change chassis throughout the season). It also led more laps and won more races than any single chassis in 2006, in addition to winning the world championship. R26- 03 presently resides in Renault's "Histoire et Collection" historic collection in Paris.
