Tesla Motorsport is an independent firm that transformed the Tesla Motors variant S into a GT2/3 variant.
The Model S GT motor is a combination of two 225kW motors debuted in the 60kW Model S, providing power of 450kW and torque of around 900NM to the wheels.
There is also modest transmission adjustment; instead of a fixed one- gear direct transmission, the Model S GT now has a three- speed direct transmission and can reach speeds of over 350 km/h.
The battery is also a tale in and of itself; since it is the largest component in the vehicle, Tesla Motors and Mercedes- Benz collaborated to design a new battery module for future Tesla vehicles, delivering almost three times the capacity with the same weight.
And, since this is a GT variant, they sought to minimize the overall weight of the vehicle, so the variant S GT weighs around 1500kg and has a 120kWh battery. All of these factors contribute to the vehicle's excellent performance.
