Description
The Bremgarten track was first used in 1931 for motorcycle racing, with the first Swiss Grand Prix for cars in 1934. The track was dominated by the Silver Arrows, with Hans Stuck winning the first GP in an Auto Union. The circuit was a true road course, running through a public park, with 25 changes in direction and measuring 7.28km. The track had no run-off and a changeable surface. After the war, the track hosted several events, including a tragic 1948 event where Achille Varzi was killed.
