The Hakone Turnpike

What it is

Take a drive on one of Japan's most famous mountain roads, which has been recreated and improved for Assetto Corsa with a focus on accuracy, atmosphere, and driving quality. Hakone Turnpike 2025 is the result of years of work that included making the terrain look real, designing the roads in a realistic way, and adding different layouts for both solo driving and online freeroam sessions.

Version 1.1 (13/03/2025)

– For Downhill Time Attack layouts, the number of pits went up from 30 to 40.
– For Time Attack layouts, the barrier mesh visibility problems were fixed.
– The size of one Time Attack barrier was fixed.

Some of the best parts of the track

– Development began in 2019, and full production began in 2021.
– Built with LiDAR-level accuracy and satellite-based terrain shaping.
– Comes with 10 layouts, including Uphill, Downhill, Time Attack, and Freeroam.
– Has summer and cherry blossom season versions with removable Sakura trees.
– Made for CSP 0.2.7-preview1 with Pure Gamma and C13AEGIS 1.89

Layouts That Are Included

– 40 pit boxes for the Uphill and No Lights variant
– 30 pit boxes for the Downhill and No Lights variant
– Uphill Time Attack and No Lights variant has 40 pit boxes;
– Downhill Time Attack and No Lights variant has 30 pit boxes;
– Online and Freeroam layouts with No Lights variant have 56 pit boxes and bigger collision areas on side roads and in the lower town.

Please note

– AI lines, traffic, and track cameras are not included by default.
– Community-made AI, cameras, and other improvements are fully supported.

Notes for Mods

- Only uses assets that are licensed or free to use
- Has custom tree textures and layout options
- The Sakura tree file (turnpike_sakura.kn5) can be removed if you want
- Summer Sakura skins can be added to replace the blossoms with green leaves
- Community-created improvements and add-ons are welcome
