The Daewoo Matiz is a mini car produced by the South Korean automobile manufacturer Daewoo since 1998. It replaced the Daewoo Tico, which was a variant of the Suzuki Alto since 1988. It was produced and sold under different names depending on the country of marketing. The first generation was also manufactured in Romania, at Automobile Craiova until 2008.

The Matiz is only available as a five-door hatchback. The original model was designed by the team at Italdesign Giugiaro, and over time it has undergone four restylings. In 2006, the Matiz was at the center of an intellectual rights controversy, with its design being copied by the Chinese manufacturer Chery Automobile in its QQ model.

The first generation, known under the internal code M100, was launched in 1998. The exterior design was based on the Lucciola concept created by Italdesign Giugiaro in 1993, on the platform of a Fiat Cinquecento. The 0.8-litre petrol engine with multi-point injection and gearbox were upgraded variants of the Tico model. The model was also manufactured under license in Poland, India, Pakistan, Taiwan and Vietnam.
