Changelog
Alfa Romeo 155 TI V6 — Remade Body Kit & JBeam
Version 4.0
Rebuilt the body kit's JBeam structure from the ground up, and gave the engine a new model plus a new exhaust. Keeps the classic squared-off DTM look, with wide arches and aggressive aero, just cleaned up and much more stable.
What's New:
-
Alfa Romeo 155 Touring: full Touring body kit added, along with the V6 TI DTM kit.
-
Three new color-shifting paints:
-
Rainbow forged carbon
-
Red forged carbon
-
Red chrome
-
Fixes:
-
Fixed the missing materials window after a crash.
-
Fixed the spoiler JBeam file, so it now works.
Hope you all enjoy!
Alfa Romeo 155 TI V6 — Remade Body Kit & JBeam
Version 3.0
Rebuilt the body kit's JBeam structure from the ground up, and gave the engine a new model plus a new exhaust. Keeps the classic squared-off DTM look — wide arches, aggressive aero — just cleaned up and much more stable.
What's New
Engine — New 2.5L V6 TI engine model, new exhaust, more power than before, plus an added turbosupercharger.
JBeam Rebuild — Rebuilt using an early version of my upcoming Universal JBeam Generator tool. Fixed:
- DTM body kit — better node/beam layout, fixed attachment points, way more stable on spawn (no more melting/shaking/exploding)
- Front & rear bumpers — reshaped to match the model, proper deformation and detaching in crashes
- Fenders (standard + GT, left/right) — fixed several real bugs, including a broken brace and mixed-up left/right node references
Hope you all enjoy!
Note: the body kit is free — download that plus this add-on. The new engine is a paid upgrade.
This update includes a complete remake and correction of the JBeam structures for the GT body, front bumper, rear bumper, and both front fenders. These parts were created and refined using an early version of my upcoming Universal JBeam Generator, a new tool designed to build stable JBeam structures from 3D models.
GT Body JBeam
- Rebuilt the main GT body node and beam structure.
- Improved the distribution of structural nodes across the body.
- Added better cross-bracing to reduce unwanted bending and instability.
- Corrected attachment points used by the bumpers, fenders, doors, and other body panels.
- Improved deformation behavior during front, rear, and side impacts.
- Corrected flexbody groups so the GT body mesh follows the intended nodes.
- Removed invalid, duplicated, and incorrectly referenced structural elements.
- Improved overall stability to help prevent parts from melting, shaking, or exploding when the vehicle spawns.
Front Bumper JBeam
- Remade the front bumper structure to match its visual shape more closely.
- Corrected its connections to the front body structure.
- Improved corner and center support beams.
- Added more consistent deformation across the bumper.
- Corrected break groups so the bumper can deform and detach properly.
- Fixed flexbody group assignments.
- Reduced excessive movement and clipping during crashes.
Rear Bumper JBeam
- Rebuilt the rear bumper node layout and structural beams.
- Corrected the mounting points connecting it to the rear body.
- Improved deformation during low-speed and high-speed rear impacts.
- Corrected break groups and detachable connections.
- Improved support around the bumper corners.
- Fixed flexbody mapping and unwanted mesh movement.
Left and Right Fender JBeams
-
Remade and corrected the standard and GT fender structures.
-
Added working definitions for:
- Standard left fender
- Standard right fender
- GT left fender
- GT right fender
-
Corrected an extra closing brace that placed the left GT fender outside the JBeam root.
-
Corrected right-side node references accidentally used by the left fenders.
-
Fixed the incorrect fe4r reference and replaced it with fe4l.
-
Corrected fender-to-body, firewall, door, and front support connections.
-
Improved fender deformation and detachment behavior.
-
Corrected indicator-light deformation groups.
-
Fixed the flexbody mesh and node-group assignments for both GT fenders.
-
Verified that the standard and GT fender mesh names exist in the vehicle model.
Validation and Stability
- Checked all modified parts for duplicate nodes.
- Checked for duplicated and zero-length beams.
- Corrected invalid local and external node references.
- Checked collision triangles for missing nodes and degenerate geometry.
- Verified the slot types used by each replacement part.
- Verified the flexbody mesh and group references.
- Improved spawn stability and crash behavior across the modified body panels.
