Hey guys john beamng hereLove to see 1.1 come out so quickly, thumbs up for the developer. Diablo is one of my favorite cars of all time, so I'm rooting for this mod to one day be perfect. For now however, here's an updated review:
update 1.1:4,5/10 Car went from terminal oversteer in 1.0 to pretty bad understeer at speeds above 100kmh now. Front wheels barely have any traction. Probably a step in the right direction, cause at least it won't spin out every turn. Still far from perfect tho. With vanilla wheels it feels pretty similar to 1.0, although slightly more planted.
I suggest taking inspiration from the Civetta Mondello mod. It's nice and stable when you drive it under the limit, but will punish you if you get over confident. It's what makes it fun. You don't want the car to be punishing you regardless of what you're doing (as the Diablo was in 1.0) or to be numb no matter how hard you push it (as it currently is, in 1.1). The key is to strike the balance in between.Tires could definitely use some more grip all around. Rear suspension could be a bit softer, so that it has more "squat" room before the wheels break traction. Maybe more downforce would help too.
Bugs from my previous comment are still there:- narrow rear tires- open diffs- inaccurate power- frame sticking out- rear indicators (when you indicate left, both lights turn on, when you indicate right, none turn on)
what about the sound?
please ferrari enzo or audi r8 first gen
A solid 4/10 as of now. Visually the model is great, the only issues I noticed are rear indicators being mixed up and the frame sticking out too much out the bottom on some configs. Mechanically it could use some work, the car is pretty floaty and borderline impossible to take fast corners in. Rear tires seem to be the same width as front on all configs, even though in the parts list it says "18x12". I tried putting some vanilla wheels on with 345 race tires in the back and 275s up front, but it doesn't help much, it feels like the suspension has no travel and the car has no downforce. All configs have either 505 or 509 hp and the driving dynamics don't really feel different from one model to another, minus the VTs being AWD. Speaking of AWD, all differentials on all configs are open by default, tho you can swap them out for race LSDs
@john beamng yo lowk W review I agree
@john beamng modland kids when somebody uses more than 2 adjectives in a sentence
FINALLY A DIABLO
