This map is based on a digital elevation model of national road 28 and the surrounding area between Tyrawa-Wołoska and Wujsk in the Podkarpackie Province, Poland, obtained using lidar with a resolution of 1 m.
The map is based on data from 2022–2024, as I visited the area during that period, and most of the references are based on street view and my notes.
It shows a 7-kilometer section of the aforementioned national road.
Initially, this map was created as a testing ground for the new world editor tools; however, over time, it has evolved into a slightly more elaborate project. I plan to use this map as a basis for future similar and more elaborate maps dedicated to mountain roads in Poland.
Due to technical limitations, I was unable to include a larger section of rural terrain that was blocked. This is because I messed up the color space of the elevation map, which led to unrealistic elevation differences in this area, which would have required redrawing the map from scratch. I decided it was better to release it as it is than to abandon it.
