T-80U — a Soviet/Russian main battle tank mod for BeamNG featuring functional weapon systems, animated tracks, realistic turbine sounds, and multiple configurations. This mod focuses on mechanical authenticity and gameplay functionality while continuing to evolve through updates and improvements.

Main features:
– 14 configurations, offering different setups and variations of the tank.
– Rotating turret (F, H) with gun elevation and depression controls (T, G).
– Functional main cannon (Y) and operational machine gun (Home) with vertical adjustment (PgUp / PgDn).
– Animated tracks with collision, providing movement realism and interaction with terrain.
– Added 4-speed gearbox based on the real T-80U, with manual shifting support (Q to enable manual mode, X/Z to change gears).
– Engine tuned for realistic performance, reaching about 60 km/h in 4th gear.
– Realistic gas-turbine engine sounds and authentic firing sound effects.
– Working headlights and taillights for operational realism.
– Smoke grenade system (End) for added functionality.

Version 5.60 updates:
– Significantly improved 3D model quality.
– Added decorative elements such as cables and detailing components.
– Added PKT machine gun model (non-functional visually).

– Visual improvements make the tank appear more realistic compared to earlier versions.

Known issues and limitations:
– No PBR textures, and some textures may appear pixelated up close.
– Anti-cumulative screens are static and lack separate rubber textures.
– Tracks may bend unnaturally and can slightly clip into the ground.
– Some textures are outdated; the original texture may appear black, so selecting an alternative in vehicle configuration is recommended.
