Trailer ABS & Brake Upgrade Mod

This mod upgrades the braking systems of all vanilla trailers that lack advanced features by adding Anti-lock Brakes (ABS) and Brake Thermal Simulation. To benefit from these upgrades, you must use the new configurations provided or manually swap the brake parts.

Key Features:

• Enhanced Safety Systems: Implements ABS and brake temperature simulation to prevent wheel lock-up and simulate brake fade under heavy use.

• Improved Stopping Power: For trailers with notoriously weak vanilla brakes (Small Flatbed, Box Utility, Large Box Utility, Enclosed Cargo), the new ABS brakes feature significantly higher application pressure.

• Implementation: The upgrade is achieved by adding a secondary set of brakes. It is not applied automatically to existing configs.

Included ABS-Equipped Configurations:
The mod provides ready-to-use configurations for the following trailers:

• Box Utility Trailer: Unloaded, 1400 kg Planks.

• Enclosed Cargo Trailer: Unloaded, 2100 kg Planks.

• Large Box Utility Trailer: Unloaded, 2100 kg Planks.

• Small Flatbed Trailer: Unloaded, 1000 kg Crate.

• Tilt Deck Trailer:

  • 22ft Bumperpull (Unloaded & with 2880 kg Hay Bales).

  • 40ft Gooseneck (Unloaded & with 14,000 kg Wood Planks).

• Travel Trailer: Standard configuration.

Installation & Use:
To use the upgraded brakes, you must either:

• Spawn one of the new configurations listed above (names include "ABS"), or

• Manually select the new ABS brake parts in the vehicle editor for your custom configs.

Known Issue:

• The 4th axle support for the Tilt Deck Trailer is pending implementation, awaiting a related bugfix in the TA Trailer Expansion mod.
