Daihatsu Hijet 2017 — a restyled compact van mod for BeamNG, inspired by the long-running Daihatsu Hijet series from 1960 to the present. This mod is currently in an early W.I.P. (Work In Progress) stage, offering a solid foundation with high-detail modeling, multiple configurations, and immersive cabin features, while more improvements are planned for future updates.

– Pleasantly detailed interior providing an immersive driving experience.
– Custom wheels specifically designed for this vehicle.
– 4 body types to reflect various Hijet configurations.
– 11 configurations allowing different trims, setups, and driving styles.
– 2 skins included for visual variety.

Planned future improvements:
– Passenger body variant for added versatility.
– Full plastic bumpers for improved realism.
– Expanded customization options including more configurations and skins.
– All known bugs fixed, including engine placement and exhaust alignment.
– Additional wheel options and functional vehicle indicators.
– Enhanced police configurations with authentic Japanese police light bars.

Known issues (W.I.P.):
– Suboptimal JBeam structure (to be fixed in future updates).
– Performance lag when three or more Hijets are active simultaneously.
– Engine placement inside the cabin (planned correction).
– Misaligned exhaust in the Falken configuration (to be corrected).
– Missing police light bars in certain configurations (pending 3D model acquisition).
