If you want this mod to work correctly, it needs trailer mods that have the old coupling mechanics, and it also needs the old t-series file. You can download the old t-series as a mod and you'll get all the old configs back in your inventory. you'll also be able to use other compatible mods like this with it. Like the T-series expansion pack, B-series off-road semi, the other Western star truck, and the wentward semi. There is probably more i'm forgetting to mention here but all old mods will work with the OG t-series file and wont interfere with the new updated t-series or trailers.
