Latest Update
Description
Temperature, pressure, wear and estimated wet-grip behaviour — every tyre, one compact app.
See how each tyre changes as you drive. TyreLab combines a per-wheel simulation with a readable dashboard, showing where the tread heats up, how it wears and how pressure develops. Keep the compact display on screen while driving, or open an individual tyre for more detail.
Features
- Independent calculations for each wheel: front, rear, left and right.
- Three tread zones per tyre: outer, middle and inner. Colour shows temperature; fill height, depth and percentages show remaining tread.
- Surface, bulk tread, carcass and air temperatures, with heat-related pressure changes.
- Tyre-family and compound-dependent working ranges, wear and drainage estimates. Dimensions, load and slip also influence the model.
- Estimated water-related traction loss, shown with blue indicators alongside each tyre.
- A compact 280 × 360 driving display, with a larger layout available by resizing the app.
- Selectable bar/psi and Celsius/Fahrenheit, with saved display preferences.
- Wear controls, thermal pause/resume and optional road-grip controls for the current session.
- The included Static Driver camera follows chassis motion and supports looking around.
One app, four views
LIVE — Temperature, tread remaining, pressure and estimated wet-grip loss together.
DETAILS — Individual tyre readings, load, slip, contact-area estimates and tread-zone information.
ROAD — Optional controls for native surface grip. Leave the multipliers at 1.00× for normal surfaces. Applying a change affects every vehicle using that surface; Restore changes undoes the app's adjustments.
SETTINGS — Simulation controls, display units and compact-layout preferences.
Built around native BeamNG physics
The simulation continues when the app is hidden. Tyre calculations follow vehicle physics updates, while the display updates separately. BeamNG's native tyre deformation, contact forces and steering-force calculation remain the foundation; TyreLab does not replace the FFB solver or change your FFB settings.
Each wheel keeps its own thermal, pressure and wear state. A vehicle reset restores fresh tyres at ambient temperature.
Model scope and compatibility
Tyre material, contact-area and drainage parameters are engineering estimates, not manufacturer-validated data for every tyre. Tread behaviour uses tyre-family/profile parameters; it does not derive a physical groove model from the visual mesh.
Wet-grip behaviour is a traction approximation. The model assumes a 0.35 mm film on classified wet material, or 3 mm when native water contact is detected. It does not measure puddle depth or add artificial vertical lift. Native water forces remain active.
Tested in BeamNG.drive 0.39.4.0. Compatibility with every third-party vehicle, tyre or other physics mod is not guaranteed.
Installation Instructions
1. Disable older GripDYN or kagoni mod packages and other tyre-physics controllers that would modify the same tyres.
2. Place TyreLab.zip in your active BeamNG user folder's mods folder. Keep the ZIP intact.
3. Reload your vehicle, then add “TyreLab by Gio” using the UI Apps selector.
4. Select compatible TyreLab tyre/compound options in the parts selector where available.
The controller works with supported pneumatic tyres, including native tyres. Optional TTB tyre options require the separate TTB pack for their meshes and materials; that asset pack is not included.

TyreLab interface and integration: Gio.
Adapted native tyre structures and Static Driver camera base: BeamNG GmbH.
Optional TTB tyre structures and compatibility adaptations: TheTalkingBath.

I did not want to release it here yet, if you want this mod its avaible on reposatory. I asked modland to remove it here grtz gio
