Let's start with some time travel. The structure was erected around the year 1820. At the time, both the farmer's family and the servants (woman and servant) lived on the property. Any job was completed by hand or with animals.
In 1902, the property had 12.3 hectares of meadow and 5.8 hectares of arable land. Around 1938, the farm had one horse, six cows, two oxen, four to six calves, five to six sheep, one to two pigs, and around 20 fowl.
As you can see, this was never a large farm. The barn was renovated to a tethered barn in 1940. The barn was constructed in 1990 and today can accommodate 15-20 cows, who may choose whether to stay inside or outdoors. The calves are also kept in the barn.
The hayloft may be driven on to store tools or straw.
