Description:
A revision to the weather system that prioritizes adding snow feature.
Features:
Blizzards, droughts, and extremely dense fog are the three new "disaster" weather phenomena that are added.
A moisture mechanic is added to fields; each crop type has an ideal moisture range, and being within this range increases harvest yield. The information display in the upper right corner is extended to include temperature, impending disasters, and the amount of snow that is expected. Moisture fluctuates continuously based on rainfall, temperature, and sunlight.
Cars left outside will now sustain wear and damage from hail; crops with very little rain will wither. Wheel physics had a substantial alteration.
The maximum amount of snow is doubled. Only on high-end systems will livestock leave "footprints" in heavy snow.
Blizzards:
Blizzards are infrequent occurrences that produce heavy snowfall quickly, reaching heights of up to one meter.
During blizzards, the temperature can drop as low as -15 degrees Celsius. Snow will probably stay for a significantly longer period of time.
Droughts:
Droughts cause intense heat, which causes fields to lose moisture quickly.
Fog:
For up to 14 hours, extremely dense fogs may form where visibility is very poor.
Wheel Physics:
All wheel types now have much more realistic friction. Friction will now decrease more realistically depending on road and vehicle conditions, such as vehicle weight, snow amount, and snow wetness Braking times are now dependent on friction and wheel number, with more wheels resulting in faster times and less friction resulting in longer braking times. Wheels will more realistically destroy snow over time based on the weight the wheel is carrying, snow amount, and snow wetness. In snow, heavier cars will sink far more than lighter ones, and sinking cars could become totally stranded. Because it will be nearly difficult to drive cars and heavy machinery in deep snow, some vehicles - like those with tracks - are needed.
