The Ponsse high-performance unit is part of the Thinning Harvester 18 (Ausdünn-Harvester 18).
Unlike traditional harvesters, the tree is hoisted out of the stand, delimbed, and cut to length in the logging lane during harvesting rather than falling into the forest.
